 Nangayi Guyson: Politician, Investigative Journalist, and Advocate for Change

Nangayi Guyson is a dedicated politician and international investigative journalist based in Kampala, Uganda. With a strong commitment to public service, he previously contested for the Bungokho Central constituency in the 2021-2026 elections and is now preparing for another run in the 2026-2031 general elections, determined to represent the voices of his community.

Nangayi's educational background is extensive and diverse. He began his studies at Bufooto and Busano for primary education, followed by O' level at Buwenge Town Academy, Busano SSS, Nabuyonga SSS, and Elgon High School. He completed his A' level at Nkom SSS and Nabumali SSS. He holds both an Associate Degree and a Bachelor's Degree in Health Science from the University of the People, along with four diplomas in Environmental Sciences, Journalism, IT, and Social Media Marketing.

His pursuit of knowledge is further exemplified by his impressive collection of 11 certificates from renowned institutions. These include TV & Online Journalism from the Russian TV Academy, Data Journalism from the European Journalism Centre in the UK, and Cybersecurity from Cisco Networking Academy. He has also studied critical topics such as Moral Foundations of Politics at Yale University, International Women's Health and Human Rights at Stanford University, and various health-related subjects at the University of the People.

As a journalist, Nangayi has made significant contributions to discussions on environmental issues, social dynamics, business, humanitarian efforts, and political matters across the African continent. His insightful articles have been featured in prominent publications, including DevelopmentAid, Mongabay, Earth Island, Al Jazeera English, African Arguments, and Mundo Negro.

In addition to his journalistic endeavors, Nangayi is an accomplished author, having written three impactful books: 40 Years Under Hostage, The Surge on Our Home, and 35 Years as IDPs. Each work reflects his deep understanding of the challenges faced by communities in Uganda and beyond.

With a unique blend of political ambition and journalistic integrity, Nangayi Guyson is committed to advocating for the rights and well-being of his constituents while shining a light on pressing issues that affect the African continent.
